The Cowboy Church of LaFayette on Saturday held a wagon train commemorating the move from the old Cowboy Church located at 7714 Ga.95 and Ga.151 intersection,to a beautiful 92-acre new location at 196 County Line Road.

Walker County Sheriff's Department deputies escorted the wagon train to the new location for the church.

We are moving right up the road to County Line Road. We have purchased 92 acres up there and we are shutting one gate here and opening another one right up the road for Cowboy Church.

According to Harden, Cowboy Church has between 400 to 500 members.

About 100 people took part Saturdays wagon train, riding their own horses, vehicles and wagons.

Cowboy Church held its first service at the new location on Sunday.

Services for Cowboy Church are held every Sunday at 10:30 a.m. plus Sunday Bible study at 7 p.m. Wednesday choir and praise team practice at 7 p.m., and Tuesday Bible study at 7 p.m.
